Tuesday Treats!

I am a bride who does not like the beach and/or beach weddings. I live in Miami, so the beach is a common thing, which makes it get really old really fast. But one other reason I freaking hate the beach and/or beach weddings, is because of this:

Tide, You Cant Explain That Gif - Tide, You Cant Explain That

Yeah, no thanks. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a bridezilla or anything, but there's just some things I will not compromise on. And for those of you who are a bride, here are some simple ways to NOT become a bridezilla.

1. Focus on WE, not ME!
Mr. Groom and I are intent on making this OUR special day. I've compromised with him on some things, and he's compromised with me on some things. For example, I'm letting him wear his (new) converse as his shoes. As long as he dances with me. FYI, Mr. Groom hates to dance. But he PROMISED he'd dance with me. When it comes down to making more plans, I'm going to ask Mr. Groom for his opinion on EVERYTHING, even if that means dragging him everywhere (except for my dress!)

2. Please your parents.
If my parents are going to pay thousands of dollars for a wedding, they better get some satisfaction in it. This doesn't mean making it THEIR dream wedding, but it means incorporating things of their interest. My mom HATES my tattoos on my back. And since I will most likely be wearing a strapless gown, my mom has asked me to cover my tattoos with makeup. I'm okay with that. I love my tattoos, but it'll make me feel good to make my mother happy.

3. Just Have Fun!
This day is supposed to be one of the happiest days of your life. Why ruin it by being a bridezilla? I know when the planning comes and finally the big day comes, the most important thing to me won't be what color the flowers are or how big the cake is; it's going to be becoming Mr. Groom's wife and having fun while doing it. So just relax and enjoy the ride!
